Personal data policy

General
Travel Service AB org. no. 556439-4210, protects your individual privacy. You can always feel confident when you send personal data to us. In this Personal data policy, we describe how we ensure that your personal data is processed in conformity with legislation in effect.

Data controller
Travel Service is data controller for processing of your personal data and ensures that such processing is performed in conformity with legislation in effect. You can reach us here

How do we collect personal data?
When you book travel tickets, additional services, make personal contact with us or subscribe to our newsletter etc., we collect personal data such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail, gender and date of birth.

On what basis do we collect personal data?  
We collect necessary data in order to be able to fulfil our travel agreement with you. If we do not have a contractual relationship or any other legal basis for processing your personal data as support, you have given us your consent to handle such data in order for us to be able to send you newsletters for example.

For what reasons do we collect data?
Information is needed for us to manage, deliver and provide customer services such as a travel service or any of the other services that we offer. Among other things, your personal data is used for the dispatch of information via e-mail, SMS and/or telephone communications concerning the travel arrangements themselves.

Your credit card details are transmitted to the card company in order to be able to process payment. Your contact details and booking information may also be used for customer surveys.

How long do we store information for?
After your journey is completed, your customer details and travel history are stored for 2 years provided that you have not explicitly consented to us keeping your data longer. We also store your personal data for other reasons than travel agreements, for e.g., in order to comply with the Swedish Bookkeeping Act. The statutory requirements of other legislation regulate how long we have to store your data for.

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, you can unsubscribe from receiving further newsletters at any time.

Who else has access to personal data?
In order to fulfil our part of the agreement, data is transferred to those service providers who are responsible for their part of the travel arrangements, i.e. airline companies, hotels, car hire firms etc. We have taken all reasonable legal, technical and organizational measures to ensure that your personal data is processed securely and with an adequate level of protection.

Personal data in third countries.
We organize journeys throughout the world and personal data is therefore also transferred to partners or service providers outside of the EU/EEA. In such an event, all reasonable legal, technical and organizational measures are taken to ensure that your personal data is processed securely and with an adequate level of protection, including in countries outside of the EU.

Security
We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data against loss or unauthorized access, use, modification or disclosure. We work on a regular basis with “inbuilt and standard data protection”.

Your rights
You are entitled to request access to and rectification of, or in certain circumstances, erasure of your personal data, to request restriction of further processing of your personal data, as well as to object to processing. We therefore inform each receiver, to whom personal data has been transferred, of any rectifications or erasure of data, as well as any data processing restrictions in conformity with your wishes. 

You are entitled, by means of a written and signed request, to obtain an extract of the data register showing, among other things, what personal data concerning you is registered, the reasons for processing and to which receivers the data has, or shall be transferred.

We anonymize, erase or supplement information that is discovered to be erroneous, incomplete or misleading, at your request or on our own initiative.

If you do not want us to process your personal data for direct marketing, for example, you are entitled to withdraw your consent and/or unsubscribe from our marketing communications. Once we have received your revocation, we cease to process your personal data for that purpose you had previously given your consent.

You are entitled to request data portability, i.e. the right to request that your personal data is transferred to another party.

How long is the information saved?
After your trip, your customer information and travel history will be saved for 2 years if you have not actively agreed to keep your information longer. We also save your personal information  for other reasons than travel agreements, such as to comply with the Accounting Act. The statutory requirements under other laws govern how long we have to save your data. If you have registered to receive a newsletter, you can cancel any further postings at any time.

Who else has access to the personal data?
In order to fulfill our agreement, the information is forwarded to the suppliers responsible for their part of the trip, ie. airlines, hotels, car rental companies, etc. We have taken all reasonable legal, technical and organizational measures to ensure that your personal information is handled securely and with an adequate level of protection.

Personal data in third countries
We arrange travel to the whole world and therefore personal data is transferred to partners or suppliers outside the EU / EEA. When this happens, all reasonable legal, technical and organizational measures are taken to ensure that your personal information is handled securely and with adequate protection even in non-EU countries.

Security
We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from loss or unauthorized access, use, modification or disclosure. We work continuously with "built-in data protection and data protection by default".

Your rights
You are entitled to request access and correction or, in some cases, deletion of your personal information, request limitation of continued processing of your personal data and a right to object to the treatment. In such case, we will notify each recipient of the personal data of any corrections or deletion of data, as well as limitation of processing of data according to your request.

You have the right to, through a written application, receive a register extract, including, among other things, the personal data that are registered about you, the purpose of the treatment and the recipients of which the information has been provided or to be disclosed.

Upon your request or on our own initiative, we will correct, disassemble, delete or supplement information that is found to be incorrect, incomplete or misleading.

If you do not want us to process your personal information for example. direct marketing, you are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time and/or unsubscribe from our marketing announcements. Once we have received your withdrawal, we will cease processing your personal information for the purpose you submitted your consent.

You are entitled to data portability, that is, a right to request that your personal data be transferred to another person.
